October. Leipoldt said it is the most beautiful month in South Africa and we definitely agree with him, but when October arrives, we know the end of the year is near!

October is also Breast Cancer awareness month. Do you know about the Knitted Knockers initiative? Knitted Knockers are hand-knitted or crocheted breast prostheses for women who have undergone mastectomies or similar breast procedures. Knitted Knockers by ColourSpun are made from the softest, gentlest chemical free cotton so that the sensitive skin and scars are not irritated.

You can purchase a kit from us for only R60. Knitted Knockers are made by volunteer knitters and gifted to breast cancer survivors. We offer knitting kits in a range of 5 colours from light to dark. Visit our website to order yours and join this special initiative Knitted Knockers as we currently have crochet kits in stock.

We only have one Term left of the Knotty Habit Yarn Klub of 2024 – one yarn box and one KYSO box. It is your last opportunity to order your Semi-Precious Yarn for 2024. The Term 3 yarn box orders close on 3 October and then KYSO box orders will close on 7 November.
