Dear Knotty Friends
As we enter March, the Knotty Studio and household are celebrating family! Blood family, new family and yarn family.
As some of you know, I am visiting my mom at the moment to celebrate her 88th birthday with her today. I celebrate her life, her wisdom and her love for all of us. When I created the Konstants colourways last year, I named the rose pink after her – Mother. Baie geluk Ouma Elza. Baie lief vir mamma.
While I am here, I am also excited to see my brother’s first grandson. Elma van Rensburg from Hekelwesies made this beautiful crochet blanket with the Knotty 3ply DK base and I am so proud to gift it to the newest member of our family.
March is a month full of excitement and I will be back home on
Saturday
to welcome our youngest son Willem and his wife Isabelle. They will be visiting South Africa for the first time as a married couple and we are looking forward to catch up on some much needed late night chats, spoil them and enjoy the house filled with their voices and laughter.
