Knotty Habit April 2024 Newsletter

By the time you read this newsletter I will be in America. We are taking a break for most of May to visit our children, celebrate academic achievements and just enjoy being together. It will be the first time in a very very long time that I will be able to celebrate mother’s day with the kids.

Being a mother has made me a better person. For the first time I appreciated what my mother sacrificed for me, my brothers and family.

The achievements and paths of our kids are making all the hard work and sleepless night worthwhile. Seeing them as kind, loving, responsible and hard working adults are one of the biggest joys in my life.

Talking about Moms and Ouma’s, for the second year in a row we are planning a Knit and Crochet in Public day at Ouma Isies Tea Garden in Centurion on 8 June. Save the date and please RSVP by sending me a WhatsApp (0721701269) or email me at . Colours of Amalfi will also join me with a pop-up shop. We are looking forward to craft with you!
I hope you all enjoy the public holiday on the 1st of May and that you take some time off. Remember to take your knitting or crochet when you join the queue to vote on election day and may all the mothers have a wonderful Mother’s day.
We will be back on 22 May, sending out packages and preparing for the Karoo Winter wool festival that will take place in Middleburg, Eastern Cape 14-16 June.

Another surprise is coming your way with the Term 2 Yarn Box going out in June! Mariana from Sweet Crochet Dreams and Hannelie from The Woolly Mammoth partnered with us to create and host a CAL (crochet along) and KAL (knit along) with the 3ply DK Yarn that is part of the box. A discount code for the specially designed patterns will be available and zoom support sessions will also be hosted. Look out for all the details.
